Biography

Present: Executive Creative Director, JUMBOshrimp – boutique Bay Area agency specializing in start-ups, technology and new media clients. Responsible for creation, curation and choreography of all the agency’s content.

2011-2015: Executive Creative Director gyro, San Francisco: Responsible for elevating the creative product across a broad range of B2B and technology clients, including start-ups, new media and Fortune 500 companies – a niche I have been specializing in for over ten years.

2004-2011: Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of one of the world’s largest advertising concerns, Euro RSCG Chicago. Clients included Barilla, Kraft, Valspar Paint, Beam Spirits and more. Postaer was responsible for their overall creative leadership and quality of the creative product.

Prior to joining Euro RSCG, Postaer was Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of LBWorks (a Leo Burnett company), overseeing creative for their full client roster including Altoids, Handspring, Lexmark and Maytag. It was hugely successful, establishing legitimate B2B and technology offering for Leo Burnett.

Postaer served as Executive Vice President and Executive Creative Director at Leo Burnett USA, and was a member of Leo Burnett USA’s Creative Management Board.

He is the recipient of advertising’s most prestigious awards including an MPA Kelly Award for best print campaign in North America, Best of Show at the Addys, Obies and NY Ferstivals as well as two gold and silver Lions from Cannes.

He was also chosen as one of “40 under 40” by Crain’s Magazine.

A copywriter by trade, he is perhaps best known for his provocative and iconic work on behalf of Altoids, The Curiously Strong Mints.  Early in his career, Postaer co-wrote “Not your Father’s Oldsmobile,” which has become a part of popular culture.

Postaer is immersed in new media platforms, actively involved on a personal and professional level. His blog, Gods of Advertising has become quite popular in Adland, enjoying upwards of 1,000 visitors a day. He has written three novels, including the award winning, The Happy Soul
